Do run run.

This is from a little something I am working on.  We'll see how it all turns out in the future.  Isn't that the way it all works?  Everything turns out somehow.

Stripes.

Hippo....wait....zebra. You choose. Life has so many different choices, some bite you in the butt even. Those are the choices you best learn from.

You're our only hope!

I had a good time watching Star Wars this past weekend with the kids.  So I drew this.  It's nice to see a story about finding your only hope, something we all are looking for.  The princess found hope in the form of a "to short to be a storm trooper" poser who happen to come across a tiny droid named R2.  Where does your hope come from?

Colorful and.....

I originally sketched this guy on a little peice of paper with an ink pen (my favorite) and then colored it using the Ipad.  The rough sketch is below.  Monsters are so fun because you can never go wrong because they are just made up creatures....I think.

Scribobinal Snowman.

Scribbling on the Ipad again.  I am trying to get used to Sketch Book Pro.  Sometimes it is hard to draw on glass with a marshmallow.

Gooooaaaaaaaallllll!

My oldest daughter, who is a whopping 7 years old, scored her first hat trick of her soccer career this past week!

Scribble Kong.

My daughters ended up watching KING KONG for a little while this past weekend.  They were intrigued by the idea of an enormous monkey that has a human girlfriend.  Who wouldn't be really.

I drew this one in a flash!

The Ipad and Sketchbook Pro is what I used to become the "Flash"!

I am now an Ipad nerd.

Gambling has paid off, I now have an Ipad that I can sketch on. This thing is fantastic!

Scooter time

One of my two year olds thinks she can ride anything as long as she wears a helmet! She is very extreme! I actually have to keep the car keys away from her.

Lil' bear time

It's funny how stuffed animals need to go places with their owners all the time. They are so demanding. My middleish child "feels" for her stuffed friends so they often make their way outdoors. I guess I would probably be the same way if I were stuffed.

Airplane boy.

Not just any airplane boy. Paper airplane boy.

Purple bear here purple bear there.

My oldest daughter sleeps with a tiny purple bear every night. The thing is so small that it gets lost easily and we always have put out a search warrant for the little purple lad. I painted this on a nurses pass from school.

Black paint and more black paint.

I was painting with my two little ones and I splashed this out. It's all about washable Crayola, at least for this illustration. It's me when I was younger hanging on Cedar Street.

It's all about the heart.

The story of the tin man is inspiring because I think somewhere down the line we all lose heart and have to fight to regain it. It is quite the journey really.

Yet another Monster.

I guess Halloween IS tomorrow. My four year old thinks this one looks like a "nightmare".

All of a sudden I drew a NINJA!

It's funny because I had no idea I would draw a ninja today. I just grabbed a pencil and started scribbling.

Burtle swimming with the sharks.

This is an illustration from a book I wrote about a turtle who is brave enough to take his shell off. The name of the book is "I am a Turtle."

The Monsters of October

Check out these hot ones. Monsters are just fun because they are not real (I think). So really, anything goes. No right, no wrong.

I was in a monster mood today boy!

Colored pencils and paint is my favorite game.
