I was watching the old school animation version of The Lion King with my fam and saw this weird monkey with a blue butt say to Simba about his past...”you can either run from it or learn from it”. It inspired tonight’s doodle. You live and you learn right? Simba then ran off and became King!

Stripe.
I watched Gremlins the other night...not a bad Christmas flick if you are into cute things transforming into ruthless creatures. It inspired me to doodle. I hope your Christmas was on the cuter side.

Happy Holidays!
Cheers to you all! This week my girls and I took a night off (played hookie from all our regular activities) of everything to relax and watch some Star Wars in preparation to the final movie that was released today. We will hit the theaters in a few days once all my children are caught up with the story of it all. Here’s to a good time. Cheers!

Mickey is 91.
Mickey Mouse turned 91 years old today! The mouse just doesn’t really seem to age.....must be nice. He made his existence know way back in 1928. Art lasts!

Happy MONSTOBER!
This MONSTOBER was originally sketched out by a 7th grader. I took it over! So I can’t take full credit, but I sure do enjoy the inspiration of others!

BRING ON YEAR SEVEN!
6 years gone without dad. Yeah, I miss him....more than I miss anything so far in my life. He stood for nothing but good! I strive to live in a way he did, I strive to live for a nothing but a positive attitude in ALL things. Negativity goes NOWHERE. Thanks dad for teaching my brothers and I the way. WWGD (what would Gary do) ( which is basically WWJD....What Would Jesus Do). Blessings.

Happy MONSTOBER!
This one took less than 10 minutes....:). Sometimes sketching a monster a day is tough while coaching soccer all day!

80 years of Batman.
The caped crusader is 80 years old! He was my favorite superhero growing up because he didn’t have super powers....just hard work. He also had a strength of facing his fears. Don’t be afraid, don’t worry....you will always be taken care of. Here is to you Batman!

Soccer life.
So this past weekend, I coach my middle-ish daughter, we had a game and we were down 0-2. We came back, and my daughter hit a wonderful shot to equalize the game! It was 2-2....game on....well we ended up losing 2-6. But soccer isn’t about winning or losing (sure it is nice to win) but it is about moments....that was a great moment, a great story. I will hold onto that one, these kids played great.....and lost:). Proud. Enjoy your moments because they come and go.

Set free.
Set free this year! School is upon us tomorrow and Captain Marvel was our last family movie night of the summer! Awesome flick to watch with all my ladies. What happens when YOU set free?

Peace on your week.
Whelp, school starts for my wife and I today....even though it is a busy time for us as school begins, we are good at finding peace through it all! Probably because we are blessed to be doing it in the first place. We wish you peace this week as well.

Perspective.
Living with 5 ladies gives me something called perspective. Which is defined in the dictionary as : a particular attitude toward or way of regarding something; a point of view. Raising 4 daughters, being married to a beautiful wife, owning a girl dog....I am blessed with perspective. These ladies make me a better man!

All hands on deck.
Shazam! My buddy Marc told me about this scene in the movie Shazam! where the family would pray for their meal by putting all their hands together and say “All hands on deck”. Basically, when you are all in together.....you have strength together. So I became inspired to not just watch the movie, but also throw down a doodle of Shazam! himself.
