A good thing to remember when your favorite team loses is that someone else's favorite team wins.  We should be happy for others.  In this case Giants fans, yay.

Roll Tide?

The college football national championship is tonight and I find myself rooting for Alabama because that is my dad's old stomping ground. Which means that is my old stomping ground, actually I never have stomped there, I've been there plenty, just never stomped. Either way you should take pride in where you stomp.

Time to pull out the tricks!

My brothers and I are on our way to play in our annual three on three soccer tournament up North.  But the only trick we try to pull is the one where our bodies don't fall apart.  It's fun getting older and trying to do the things we have been doing since we were six years old.  We will see who pulls something first! 

Merry Christmas 2011

Christmas of 1980 something, we had a chimney fire and we had all the fire trucks here to put it out as we watched in our PJ's out in the snow.  I remember most of the block coming out to see what all the commotion was.  The scene was a little bit of a blurr because all I cared about was that my new Castle Grey Skull that Santa brought me was safe!  That was a close one.  Anyway, Merry Christmas!

This is a villain I am working on.  Okay....I should probably give credit to Star Wars for this one.  It is good to be inspired though.  I was planning on doing a landscape painting as a gift to someone and this happened instead.  Inspiration is a funny thing, you never know where it might come from.  Maybe I will do that landscape thingy tomorrow.

Okay, December in Wisconsin and no snow!  Who's hogging it?  It's just not normal.  I guess I will have to adjust and just make a snowman out of marshmallows this year.

Sometimes it is hard to believe things simply because you just can't see it.  That's where the trust comes in which ultimately leads to faith.  By the way, does believing in Santa the same as having faith in Santa?  Tis' the season.

This is simply how most feel after Thanksgiving....ROUND.  It's not a bad feeling though, it is always good to be filled with good stuff.  I know I was filled with good stuff this past holiday.  Not just food, but family and fellowship.  So I guess this is a self portrait.

I had a good time watching Star Wars this past weekend with the kids.  So I drew this.  It's nice to see a story about finding your only hope, something we all are looking for.  The princess found hope in the form of a "to short to be a storm trooper" poser who happen to come across a tiny droid named R2.  Where does your hope come from?

I originally sketched this guy on a little peice of paper with an ink pen (my favorite) and then colored it using the Ipad.  The rough sketch is below.  Monsters are so fun because you can never go wrong because they are just made up creatures....I think.
