Merry Christmas.

Merry Christmas.  This is the e-card I sent out to all our facebook friends.  I forgot to post it on the blog yesterday due to the business of the big day.  Sledding, brisket, communion, presents, hiking, painting, drawing, football, and of course slowing down to just simply be with family!  

3:40 a.m. showing of Rogue One.

I was talked into going to Star Wars "Rogue One" at 3:40 am on opening day.  Then I will go to school.  I might not be a very effective teacher later on in the day, unless, of course,........the force will be with me:)

Happy Birthday Kung Fu Tiger!

My brother Josh has a Birthday today!  When we were younger he used to become an alter ego named "Kung Fu Tiger". He would often times climb on the soccer goals and meditate.....he got mad a lot and needed to cool off.  Peace on your Birthday brother!

Coach on the beach.

This doodle is inspired by one of my soccer coaching buddies.  He is the "High School Assistant Coach of the Year" in our Region and possibly the nation.  He will be picking his award up in January over in L.A. at the national soccer conference. I believe he said he was going to hangout at the beach in a soccer speedo.  So I just had to cartoon it.....mostly because I am not sure if I want to see that image in real life:) Sometimes cartoons are better. 

Big Mac.

Since the creator of the Bic Mac passed away yesterday (James Delligatti) I wanted to go out and eat one for lunch.....I instead just drew a picture of one, which is of course a more healthier option.

Spider.

Every once in a while I submit a doodle for "IF" (Illustration Friday).  Basically you illustrate a word of the week....this week is "spider". The Amazing Spider-Man came to mind.  I hope you have an amazing day!

This week's highlight in my world was night scooterin with my middle-ish child underneath the super moon!

I know it is a digital world but I still use pen and paper quite a bit...digital illustrations are just much more convenient and efficient these days. Oh, and you can do it in the dark while watching a football match.

Even though my last name is Cleveland I still want the Cubs to win the World Series tonight over the Indians.....only because of my friend Ryan.  I sent this sketch to him today.

Happy Halloween.

Freddy Kruger. He is a weird guy who chases people in their dreams. My kiddos were nothing close to this guy this year for trick or treating.  I had a cute vampire, a Batman, a pirate, and of course the wolf from little red riding hood.....I hope your Halloween was fun, sweet dreams.  

I am part plumber.

Tonight I told my girls that I was part plumber as I poured Liquid Drano into their bathroom sink....they said "no you're not, you are an Art Teacher".  So I drew a picture of it.

Samson.

Here is a little quote from Samson: "With a donkey's jawbone I have made donkeys of them".  This is from an awesome story in the Bible.  Samson kills a thousand men with a jawbone of a donkey. Then he throws the bone down and names the land Ramath-lehi.....which of course means height of a jawbone:)

Gramma.

My Mother-In-Law was in town for three weeks doing my laundry, my dishes, and cleaning my house.   I am going to miss her......oh and I guess she was here to see the grandkids as well. See you in the Spring Gramma. 

The power of ponies.

So I coach soccer at various levels, this past weekend I actually used My Little Ponies to teach my 10 year old what pressure, cover, balance was when playing defense on the pitch.  It worked!

Weapon.

Rain.

Aqua Man.  He is one guy who loves the rain. Usually he is under the ocean but if it is raining he loves rising to the top. What makes you want to rise to the top?  Then do it.

Orange.

The Ultimate Warrior. I never really liked wrestling, but I liked this guy. Probably because he was the underdog that defeated Hulk Hogan. You got to love underdog stories:) Go be an underdog story today!

Gold.

Usain Bolt is the fastest man on Earth.....I think his track suit should have looked like this!
