I wore shorts today!!! Take that quarantine!  The weather was awesome today...that’s all.

National Zipper and Superhero Day!

I can’t hardly believe that National Zipper Day AND National Superhero Day are both celebrated in the same week!  So amazing I know!  So this is what I came up with.  What is underneath your top layer? I bet it is SUPER!

Pandemic=daily soccer with my girls.

I am not going to lie, playing soccer almost everyday with my girls has been actually quite heavenly.  For me anyway, they may say different...since I am a soccer coach and I tend to kick their butts if their not working hard.  Just kidding of course;)

Niece the Nurse.

My Niece is a nurse, so this one goes out to her!  Thanks to those that are out there every day when it is obviously “safer to stay at home”.  I know it not an easy job to be at risk everyday.  It takes a special person, and that is exactly what she is...special.

Love..........sometimes when you are away from something you forget what bonds you together in the first place! Our family schedule tends to get out of hand busy sometimes, all four girls have soccer, basketball, band, more soccer, a little more basketball, then of course more soccer.  Then they are spread out into three different schools with different schedules, events and locations. Then Sarah and I work at two different schools as well. She then coaches basketball while I am head deep in all things soccer! It is near impossible to get everyone everywhere on time or without help.  Now, well, we are all home tangled up in what bonds us in the first place..........Love.

I have benefited from our homebound situation in that way. I have also learned that I am also bonded to the people I can’t be around with right now during this time.  Other family, friends down the street, coaching buddies, teacher friends, students, players I should be coaching right now! I realize what the true bond is in all things...........Love.

Hulk smash this virus.

Can’t wait for us to smash this virus!  We will win this epic battle in the end...just need to be patient and hero up and do our part.  Which oddly enough is to do nothing!

No soccer tomorrow....what?!!

My 17th Girls Varsity Soccer Season was suppose to begin tomorrow!  This virus is worse than scoring a goal for the other team.....with your butt!  I know, it has happened before. Got to be patient I suppose!  

Bubble Teaching!

Have you ever heard of Bubble Soccer?  You run around in an inflatable bubble and play soccer....whelp, I invented...Bubble Teaching!  You can actually teach face to face with your students while wearing a bubble.  No more distance online learning.

It was hot today!

It hit 60 today!  Not bad for March. It was so nice walking around outside and not freezing our butts off. People were buzzing around everywhere in the hood.  

Girls Rule!

I got to attend the Women's Soccer Symposium today over in Milwaukee.  Jill Ellis was the main speaker!  You know, the Women’s National Team Head Coach who won the World Cup....Twice.  She is the only coach, male or female to do this. Inspiring I tell you.  It got me ready for the High School season and the impact a coach can have over our daughters. 

DJ Marshmello.

My little art students teach me a lot. They know more than you think about our culture. Lately for some reason DJ Marshmello has become a thing. Creates music and then becomes a character in a very popular video game called ”fortnite”.....and of course wears a big marshmallow head so no one even knows what he really looks like. Strange strange culture. 

Spring is coming...I know it.

Time to sketch again...Spring is around the corner.  I can feel it...well, not really because it is snowing. But isn’t that what Wisconsin Spring is. Snow:). Blessings on the rest of your week!

Kobe.

I enjoyed this guy. Plus, he was about my same age and was raising four daughters....that easily strikes a cord with me.  Blessings and prayers to the Kobe Bryant family.

Finally got a good snow!  If it is going to be Winter...it might as well be WINTER!

Rafiki advice.

I was watching the old school animation version of The Lion King with my fam and saw this weird monkey with a blue butt say to Simba about his past...”you can either run from it or learn from it”. It inspired tonight’s doodle.  You live and you learn right?  Simba then ran off and became King!

Stripe.

I watched Gremlins the other night...not a bad Christmas flick if you are into cute things transforming into ruthless creatures. It inspired me to doodle.  I hope your Christmas was on the cuter side.

Cheers to you all!  This week my girls and I took a night off (played hookie  from all our regular activities) of everything to relax and watch some Star Wars in preparation to the final movie that was released today.  We will hit the theaters in a few days once all my children are caught up with the story of it all.
