Goooo Peacocks.

Who knew peacocks (St. Peters) knew how to play some basketball? Inspired me to sketch out a peacock out of nowhere. Now go find your inspiration today....

Ice Day 2022.

Alright alright, here is Mr. Freeze. I loved my ice day today…I think that is what you call it. Ice everywhere! I read that this happened exactly one hundred years ago to the day here in Wisconsin. Yup, must have been that pesky Mr. Freeze and his freeze ray.

Batman scribble day.

Home today because of an ice storm…so…scribble out a Batman right? Maybe I should have done one of his rivals, Mr. Freeze. Maybe later.

Dinosaurs.

A friend told me I should draw more dinosaurs....well, here is what I came up with tonight. I sketch all the time, why not throw in some dinosaurs every once in a while. Rawr. Oh, and don't forget to keep up with the times, otherwise you may find yourself outdated and...well...extinct. Good luck because life is fast and furious. I know, because I have been to a million basketball games and a million soccer games...all this week (we are in a pandemic mind you) and taught kiddos the value of life through art everyday. It has been a good week:)

The mascot of the current Sun Prairie High School is the Cardinal. Proud to be one. I love seeing them in my backyard as well. Go Cards!

Captain Tiberius Kirk

I am not a Star Trek fan, but I am somewhat inspired by a 90 year old shooting up into space:) “Risk is our business “ -Captain T. Kirk 1968 What do you want to do? Is it worth the risk? You never know....unless.....

Bring on year 9!

Bring on year 9! A portrait of my superhero (The Bibleman) (aka dad)…wish I could hop in his cardboard time machine and turn back time just for one second:) Oooo, that's what I should sketch next....his time machine. It was the craziest looking thing...huge cardboard box painted with a lightning bolt and connected to a stobe light. Everytime my dad went back into time (Bible times) the strobe light would go off accompanied by some super annoying digital sound coming from a boom box and a mixed cassette tape....totally 80's. Totally cool. And yes, he is totally missed.

Team Cleve.

This past weekend I got to watch all four of my daughters play on the same team on the same field at the same time! It was so special! It was also 7:30 in the morning on a Saturday....but so special! And rare. We had a Senior, Freshmen and two sixth graders playing out there for a tournament team that needed extra players. Of course the Cleveland ladies came through! Never thought I would see the day!

Happy Birthday.

There is a little blondie that has taught me how to live my best life, her name is Sarah “Jacobson” Cleveland (my wife). She gives me peace and love…which is in my mind the best two things in our world. Great teachers teach this. She teaches this everyday to whoever comes her way. She makes people…well…better people. I am proud of her, love her, and wish her nothing but peace and love on her day. Happy Birthday Sarah.

School year is off and running. These Kindergarteners I have are like someone dropped a box of kittens in my artroom.....and now I have to teach them how to paint. Challenging for sure...cute though.

Big 8 Conference Champs!

This past soccer season was my 18th with the Varsity Girls Soccer team up at the High School.  In that time we went from very bottom to the very top of our conference league. Always looking forward and going in the right direction.  Also, it is amazing to think that the first Conference Championship in the history of the program had a little Cleveland playing on the team:). She definitely has come a long way since “Kinderball”! Sheeeeeeeeeeesh.
